Family constellations

Family Constellations is a therapeutic method developed by Bert Hellinger that is used to explore and understand the dynamics of family systems, including the invisible dynamics, relationships and relationships within the family. This method makes it possible to shed light on the hidden connections that influence the behavior of family members.

How Family Constellations Work
The therapist places physical representatives of family members in space to visualize the dynamics and connections within the family. Representatives often feel the emotions associated with the family members they represent, which helps clients gain insight into hidden dynamics. The facilitator helps clients recognize and resolve these dynamics through emotional release and recognition of unconscious patterns.

Invisible dynamics in Family Constellations
Systemic Loyalty: Family members may unconsciously take on the fates or feelings of past generations, often repeating patterns of behavior that link them to their ancestors.

Unresolved trauma: Trauma that is not processed or acknowledged can be passed on to the next generation, manifesting through anxiety, depression or physical symptoms.

Exclusions and forgotten members: If a family member is excluded or neglected, this can create an imbalance, and descendants may unconsciously try to correct or repeat the fate of that member.

Family Myths and Beliefs: Unconscious family stories or myths influence the behavior of family members. For example, a family may have a belief that is passed down through the generations, shaping expectations and behavior.

Energy Connections: Family members are connected by invisible energy connections that convey emotions, thoughts and behavior patterns.

Unconscious Roles: Family members may unconsciously assume roles to maintain balance, which can be healthy, but can sometimes lead to problems if those roles become destructive.
